Let me introduce you to Brother NX 400. After my letter to Santa, and I must have been very good this year, because he also brought me emerald earrings and necklace as well, I have added to the sewing room a brand new shiny machine. But please don't worry about Ms Jones, she has gone to a new room upstairs, and is now in a teaching role... and I couldn't be more proud!
Anna has been showing a very keen interest in learning to sew.... so
Sans needle and bobbin, she has been putting Ms Jones through her paces!!
Now I need to rename Brother NX400, because its a mouthful, and also sounds a bit official, calling my new sewing machine BROTHER!!! So anyone out there... all two of you... leave a comment with suggestions for brothers new name!!!!!

Oh you lucky thing! A new sewing machine AND jewels!!! Sounds like the perfect Christmas to me:) OK you need a name - I say Billy...Brother Billy...mainly because my Dad is a Bill and he is in NZ and I miss him! Plus I like the B and B sounds together:)
How old is your daughter?? Mine just turned 8 and loves to sew:)
I loved the photos of your Kiwi Christmas. Sigh. All we had was a ton of snow and no family. Yes I know snow sounds like fun but blech it's not - especially when you are shovelling it off the driveway at midnight just so you can get out in the morning! Give me a Kiwi Christmas any day:)
I got the same Brother for my birthday last year in September...I haven't done much on her - got a case of the slow joes as Christmas suddenly appeared and so my sewing got put on the back burner.
I haven't named mine, maybe I should!
